At first I had aspirations of raising VC$, but as I got further down that path of pitching and networking within that group I was turned off by 1) how unoriginal their thinking is and 2) the entanglements Bracy describes. Ultimately I decided to build slowly and prioritize profitability.
This is excellent. I'm a tech founder of a friends & family-funded startup and couldn't agree more. "Return the fund" is a toxic mentality.
